A vacuum atomization powder making furnace is a type of ultrasonic gas atomization powder making equipment, consisting of a furnace body, an inner crucible, and an ultrasonic atomization nozzle. A powder collecting mechanism is placed at the bottom. Its characteristic is that the furnace body is divided into upper and lower chambers. The upper chamber is the melting chamber, and the crucible outer induction heating coil is placed inside; the crucible is connected to the lower chamber—the atomization chamber—through an ultrasonic atomization nozzle; the melting chamber and the atomization chamber are respectively connected to a vacuum unit through pipelines, and a high-pressure gas valve is set on the pipeline from the atomization chamber to the vacuum unit.
Widely used in the atomization synthesis of metal powders in high-purity environments and the atomization synthesis of titanium and other active alloy powders. [Structural Features] Combining vacuum (EIGA) crucibleless gas atomization and (VIGA) crucible composite gas atomization, it can produce high-quality titanium and titanium alloy powders as well as nickel-based or cobalt-based superalloys, reducing manufacturing costs.
In a high-background vacuum environment, high-purity protective inert gas is introduced. The pre-alloyed rod is fed into the inner annular induction coil through an external lifting and rotating mechanism, melted in the form of an electrode, and the molten droplets directly fall into a specially designed atomizer nozzle system. A complete set of equipment uses high-pressure inert gas for atomization and powder making.

Powders produced by vacuum atomization have advantages such as high purity, low oxygen content, and fine particle size. After years of continuous innovation and improvement, vacuum atomization powder technology has developed into a major method for producing high-performance metal and alloy powders, becoming a leading factor in supporting and promoting new materials research and new technology development.
Metal powder manufacturing belongs to the high-tech industry. Alloys manufactured using powder metallurgy techniques have a wide range of applications, such as welding and brazing alloys for the electronics industry, nickel, cobalt, and iron-containing superalloys for aircraft, hydrogen storage alloys and magnetic alloys, and active alloys such as titanium for sputtering target production.
